Position Summary and Responsibilities Working remotely, the Compliance Coordinator will oversee the school’s attendance, compliance, truancy prevention, operational engagement, and student accountability systems. This position serves as the operational backbone of the Engagement Department and ensures schoolwide consistency related to attendance monitoring, intervention meeting coordination, truancy communication, compliance documentation, and operational procedures. The Compliance Coordinator supervises 12-month ACT Engagement Specialists who collectively support schoolwide attendance operations and student accountability systems. This role collaborates closely with school leadership, counseling teams, PBIS teams, MTSS teams, enrollment staff, and Engagement staff to ensure students remain connected, supported, engaged, and compliant with attendance expectations. Other key responsibilities include the following: Oversee daily attendance monitoring and absence resolution systems; Lead truancy prevention systems, including attendance intervention meeting coordination and attendance recovery planning; Supervise ACT Engagement Specialists and monitor operational caseload distribution; Ensure attendance documentation and compliance systems remain accurate and audit-ready; Coordinate schoolwide attendance communication and truancy notices; Support student accounting functions, including reconciliation between systems; Monitor student engagement indicators and operational compliance systems; Collaborate with counselors, administrators, and Engagement Specialists regarding attendance concerns; Support onboarding continuity and operational engagement systems during summer and transition periods; Track attendance trends, chronic absenteeism, and compliance reporting data; Support PBIS implementation efforts by monitoring operational systems and ensuring procedures are implemented with fidelity; Collaborate with MTSS and Student Support Teams to identify students requiring additional attendance or behavioral interventions; Provide training and support related to attendance systems, operational documentation, and compliance expectations; Support schoolwide operational engagement initiatives and emergency response efforts; Stay current on attendance legislation, truancy requirements, and compliance procedures; and All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred; Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; Administrative, operational, or management experience within a school environment preferred; Experience with attendance systems, truancy prevention, compliance protocols, PBIS support systems, or student accountability systems; Strong organizational and operational leadership skills; Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; Technologically proficient with student information systems and Microsoft Office products; Experience supervising staff preferred; and Ability to travel as needed.
