Position Overview

arenaflex is currently hiring a Customer Experience & Digital Engagement Specialist – Web Chat Support, Sales, and Client Success to join our growing Columbus, Ohio team. This is an Associate-Level opportunity designed for professionals who have already honed their craft in web-based customer service and are ready to bring their persuasion, decision-making, and communication skills to a company that truly values them.

As a Web Chat Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the digital voice and brand ambassador for our customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Exceptional Live Chat Support: Engage with customers in real time through web chat platforms, providing accurate information, thoughtful solutions, and timely responses to inquiries about products, services, accounts, and policies.
  • Drive Sales and Upsell Opportunities: Leverage your persuasive communication skills to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, upgrades, or add-ons that enhance their experience and deliver genuine value.
  • Make Confident, Customer-Centered Decisions: Use sound judgment to resolve complaints, handle exceptions, and approve solutions that balance customer satisfaction with business objectives — all while staying within established guidelines.
  • Maintain Accurate Records and Documentation: Log every interaction, update customer profiles, and document outcomes in CRM and support systems to ensure continuity, data integrity, and a seamless experience across touchpoints.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with team leads, trainers, quality analysts, and other specialists to share insights, refine processes, and contribute to ongoing improvements in chat scripts, response templates, and customer service workflows.
  • Stay Current on Products and Services: Continuously build and refresh your knowledge of arenaflex offerings, promotions, policies, and industry trends so you can serve as a trusted and credible resource for every customer.
  • Meet and Exceed Performance Goals: Consistently achieve targets related to customer satisfaction scores (CSAT), first-resolution rates, response times, sales conversion, and quality assurance standards.
  • Uphold Brand Standards: Represent arenaflex with professionalism, warmth, and authenticity in every interaction, ensuring the tone, language, and approach reflect our brand values at all times.

Essential Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in customer service, web chat support, inside sales, or a similar digital-first role.
  • Outstanding Written Communication: Impeccable spelling, grammar, and the ability to convey warmth, clarity, and confidence through text alone.
  • Persuasion and Influence Skills: A demonstrated ability to guide conversations, present recommendations persuasively, and close on opportunities without coming across as pushy.
  • Strong Decision-Making Ability: Comfort assessing complex or ambiguous situations, weighing options quickly, and choosing solutions that satisfy both the customer and the company.
  • Multitasking and Prioritization: The capacity to manage multiple chat windows, navigate internal tools, and shift focus seamlessly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability and Accountability: A track record of dependability, punctuality, and consistent performance — especially in remote or hybrid work settings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with consumer technology products, mobile devices, or digital services.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, ticketing systems, and live chat software (e.g., Zendesk Chat, LiveChat, Intercom, or similar tools).
  • Previous experience in upselling, cross-selling, or consultative sales within a chat-based environment.
  • Exposure to performance-based metrics and quality calibration processes.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a strong plus.
