Job Title: Customer Service Representative – Pharmacy Benefits Support

Schedule: Part-time, 20+ hours per week (full-time potential available)

Location: Remote within 75 miles of Monroeville, PA

Work Hours: Site operates 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM local time, 7 days a week; shift times will vary and rotate to support business needs

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the trusted voice our members turn to when they have questions about their pharmacy benefit plans. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling Inbound Calls: Receive and manage a high volume of incoming calls from plan members seeking guidance on prescription insurance, drug formulary coverage, and mail-order pharmacy services.
  • Explaining Benefits Clearly: Translate complex insurance and pharmacy terminology into clear, easy-to-understand language so members feel confident and informed about their coverage options.
  • Resolving Member Concerns: Apply active listening and problem-solving skills to address concerns, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective solutions on the first call whenever possible.
  • Maintaining Compliance: Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and all relevant healthcare compliance standards while handling sensitive member information.
  • Documenting Interactions: Accurately record call details, member inquiries, and resolutions in our Windows-based CRM and case management systems.
  • Educating Members: Proactively share information about cost-saving alternatives, mail-order convenience programs, and available plan features that improve the member experience.

Training location may vary based on your individual circumstances, with both on-site and work-from-home options available to qualifying candidates.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience engaging directly with customers in settings such as call centers, retail environments, customer support departments, hospitality, or military service.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated computer competency in Windows-based applications, including the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously while speaking with members.
  • Work-from-Home Setup: A reliable, high-speed internet connection (meeting arenaflex's approved speed requirements), a secure and distraction-free home workspace, and the ability to complete the full training program successfully.
