We are now expanding our digital storytelling team and are looking for an experienced, imaginative, and detail-oriented Remote Content Creator & Digital Storytelling Specialist to help us craft the next generation of content that sparks joy, wonder, and lasting emotional connections with audiences throughout the United States and beyond.

Position Overview

As a Remote Content Creator & Digital Storytelling Specialist at arenaflex, you will be at the creative heart of our digital presence. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Content, you will work alongside a tight-knit team of writers, editors, designers, and strategists to deliver content across a wide range of digital channels, including social media platforms, blog networks, video scripts, email campaigns, and emerging storytelling formats. The ideal candidate brings a deep passion for narrative craft, an intuitive understanding of digital audiences, and a meticulous eye for detail that ensures every piece of content meets the highest standards of quality and brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Content Production & Development

  • Conceptualize, develop, script, and produce engaging, original content that aligns with arenaflex's brand voice and resonates deeply with our diverse audience segments.
  • Write compelling copy for a variety of digital platforms, including long-form blog articles, short-form social media posts, video scripts, microcopy for app experiences, newsletter content, and more.
  • Develop content calendars and editorial plans in collaboration with the broader content and marketing teams to ensure consistent, timely, and strategic publishing.
  • Adapt tone, style, and structure to suit different platforms, audiences, and content formats while maintaining brand cohesion.

Storytelling & Narrative Craft

  • Weave enchanting, emotionally resonant narratives that capture the essence of beloved characters, themes, and experiences associated with entertainment and family-friendly media.
  • Develop multi-part content series, character-driven storylines, and thematic campaigns that encourage audience engagement and repeat visits.
  • Translate complex ideas and brand messages into clear, accessible, and entertaining stories that appeal to a wide demographic range.
  • Use narrative techniques such as hooks, conflict, resolution, and emotional beats to maximize engagement and audience retention.

Research & Trend Analysis

  • Stay continuously informed about industry trends, cultural conversations, fan discussions, and emerging storytelling formats within the entertainment, media, and digital content spaces.
  • Monitor competitor activity, social media trends, and audience sentiment to inform content strategy and identify new opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough research to ensure all content is factually accurate, culturally sensitive, and aligned with current brand narratives and campaigns.
  • Leverage audience insights, performance data, and analytics to refine content strategy and improve engagement over time.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with editors, designers, video producers, social media managers, and brand strategists to bring creative ideas to life.
  • Participate actively in brainstorming sessions, creative reviews, and content planning meetings to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
  • Provide constructive feedback to peers and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to elevate the quality of all published content.
  • Partner with marketing, PR, and community management teams to ensure messaging consistency and campaign alignment across all touchpoints.

Quality Assurance & Brand Stewardship

  • Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and brand voice across all content produced.
  • Rigorously proofread and edit all work before submission, ensuring alignment with arenaflex's style guide and editorial standards.
  • Safeguard brand integrity by ensuring all content is on-message, inclusive, culturally aware, and reflective of arenaflex's values.
  • Monitor published content for performance, audience response, and opportunities for updates or improvements.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 2–4 years of professional experience in content creation, copywriting, journalism, digital marketing, or a related field, preferably within entertainment, media, publishing, or a brand-driven industry.
  • A demonstrable passion for storytelling, with a portfolio that showcases exceptional writing ability across multiple formats and platforms.
  • Deep familiarity with the entertainment industry, including major franchises, characters, narrative traditions, and cultural touchstones that have shaped the way families experience media.
  • Proven ability to write in a variety of tones and styles, from playful and whimsical to informative and emotionally nuanced.
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
  • Experience with content management systems (such as WordPress, Contentful, or similar), social media scheduling tools, and basic SEO principles.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, with a meticulous approach to proofreading, fact-checking, and editorial quality.
  • Self-motivation, time management skills, and the discipline required to thrive in a fully remote work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a virtual team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Film, Creative Writing, or a related discipline.

  • Familiarity with video scripting, storyboarding, or multimedia production workflows.
