Role Overview – Why This Position Matters

We are seeking a seasoned IAM Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of custom identity workflows on the arenaflex platform. In this role, you will integrate identity packages, automate provisioning processes, and collaborate with cross‑functional software and platform teams to deliver scalable, resilient solutions. Your work will directly influence arenaflex’s ability to protect sensitive data, streamline access governance, and support a hybrid workforce that spans continents.

This is a fully remote opportunity with flexible hybrid options, allowing you to work from anywhere while still engaging with our collaborative hubs when needed. You will join a high‑performing team that values innovation, continuous learning, and a culture of inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and launch custom workflows for provisioning, correlation rules, access certification, and Joiner‑Mover‑Leaver (JML) processes within the arenaflex IdentityIQ (IIQ) environment.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot IAM solutions in enterprise‑scale settings, ensuring seamless connectivity with downstream applications and cloud services.
  • Lead SailPoint (arenaflex) implementation projects, applying best‑practice IAM design patterns, architecture, and migration strategies.
  • Develop and maintain JML event handling, creating both out‑of‑the‑box (OOTB) and custom lifecycle management (LCM) workflows that meet evolving business requirements.
  • Engineer robust WebServices, REST API, and SCIM connectors to automate provisioning, de‑provisioning, and entitlement management across heterogeneous systems.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and operations teams to define access control policies, role‑based access control (RBAC) models, and certification cycles.
  • Participate in release management, coordinating deployments, change control, and post‑deployment validation to minimize risk.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge through documentation, code reviews, and internal workshops.
  • Stay ahead of emerging threats by continuously evaluating new IAM technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in IAM engineering, preferably within large‑scale retail or data‑driven organizations.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing identity governance solutions on the arenaflex platform (formerly SailPoint).
  • Strong understanding of identity concepts such as authentication, authorization, RBAC, role mining, access certification, and federation.
  • Solid experience with Java, JavaScript, XML, and DSML for building custom connectors and workflow extensions.
  • Hands‑on experience with Linux environments, application servers (e.g., Tomcat), and database technologies (e.g., arenaflex, arenaflex).
  • Demonstrated ability to write, test, and debug RESTful APIs and SCIM integrations.
  • Excellent problem‑solving mindset, with a track record of delivering reliable solutions under tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud‑native IAM services.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, PCI‑DSS).
  • Prior involvement in large‑scale migration projects from on‑premises to cloud‑based identity solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Deep familiarity with IAM architectures, provisioning protocols, and identity lifecycle management.
