Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail‑oriented Entry‑Level Data Entry & Process Improvement Specialist to join the arenaflex Operations team. In this role, you will work closely with artists, engineers, and product managers to identify workflow inefficiencies, develop practical solutions, and maintain the custom tools that keep our development pipelines humming. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience with industry‑standard engines, scripting languages, and proprietary tooling while making a tangible impact on the speed and quality of game production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (art, design, engineering, QA) to map current production workflows and pinpoint bottlenecks.
  • Document, analyze, and prioritize improvement opportunities based on impact, effort, and strategic alignment.
  • Design, prototype, and implement custom asset pipelines that automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual entry errors.
  • Maintain, extend, and support arenaflex’s existing suite of internal tools, ensuring they remain reliable and up‑to‑date.
  • Develop and curate reusable libraries, scripts, and plugins for Unity, Unreal Engine, and other proprietary game engines.
  • Provide clear, step‑by‑step guidance to teammates on how to adopt new tools and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Track the performance of implemented solutions, gather feedback, and iterate to maximize efficiency gains.
  • Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting tool‑related issues, performing root‑cause analysis, and delivering timely fixes.
  • Participate in regular sprint reviews and retrospectives, presenting data‑driven insights that influence future roadmap decisions.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, creating documentation, tutorials, and best‑practice guides for the broader arenaflex community.

Essential Qualifications

  • Passion for empowering others: Demonstrated enthusiasm for helping teammates work smarter and achieve higher quality results.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify pain points in complex production pipelines.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C#, C++, or Python.
  • Experience (academic or personal projects) with game development tools such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with scripting for web technologies (e.g., JavaScript) and basic networking concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Self‑motivated and capable of thriving in a remote, autonomous work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience building or extending custom pipelines for asset import/export, texture processing, or level design.
  • Exposure to version control systems (Git, Perforce) and continuous integration workflows.
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices, including code review, testing, and documentation.
  • Prior involvement in a game studio or interactive media company, even in an internship or volunteer capacity.
  • Experience with data‑driven decision making, such as using analytics dashboards or performance metrics to guide improvements.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to break down complex processes into manageable components and devise practical, scalable solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork orientation, comfortable working with artists, designers, and engineers across time zones.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfortable navigating IDEs, command‑line tools, and debugging environments.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous data entry and documentation habits that prevent errors from propagating downstream.
  • Learning Agility: Eagerness to acquire new technical skills quickly, whether it’s a new scripting language or a novel engine feature.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Treat internal teammates as customers, delivering solutions that truly address their needs.
