[Remote] Senior DevEx Engineer

Remote Full-time Live

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Qventus, Inc is leading the transformation of healthcare by enabling hospitals to focus on patient care through innovative solutions powered by machine learning and AI. They are seeking a Senior DevEx Engineer to integrate AI coding tools and improve the software development lifecycle within their engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the adoption of AI coding tools — including Cursor, Claude Code, and emerging agentic frameworks — across the entire engineering organization
  • Run internal workshops, pairing sessions, and enablement programs to up-level engineers on prompt engineering, AI-assisted TDD, and autonomous code generation
  • Define and evolve AI-first development standards, integrating them into our engineering culture, onboarding, and day-to-day workflows
  • Design, build, and maintain the internal developer platform that enables teams to ship high-quality, secure software with speed and confidence
  • Own CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and self-service infrastructure that weaves AI assistance into every stage of the SDLC
  • Build intelligent automation for code review, test generation, documentation, and deployment — leveraging LLMs and agentic workflows to eliminate toil
  • Architect infrastructure for running AI coding agents in secure, sandboxed environments with the guardrails and observability our healthcare context demands
  • Establish and track DevEx metrics — DORA, cycle time, AI adoption rates — and drive continuous improvement against them
  • Act as a thought leader and internal advisor on AI coding trends, partnering across engineering, security, and product teams to keep our platform ahead of the curve

Skills

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in platform, DevEx, or developer tooling roles
  • Deep, hands-on experience with AI coding tools — you're not just aware of them, you live in them. You have strong opinions on what works and why
  • Proven ability to drive cultural change — you've successfully convinced skeptical engineers to adopt new tools or workflows, and you know how to meet people where they are
  • Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript; comfortable writing backend services, CLI tools, and automation scripts
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developer platforms (GitHub Actions, Buildkite, ArgoCD, or similar)
  • Systems thinker who can balance big-picture developer experience vision with the practical details of implementation
  • Strong communicator — you can write a compelling internal guide just as easily as you can give a compelling demo
  • Passion for real-world impact: you're energized by the idea that faster, smarter engineering translates directly to better patient care
  • Experience building or deploying agentic coding systems — multi-step agents that write, test, review, or deploy code autonomously
  • Contributions to open-source developer tooling or AI/LLM tooling projects
  • Familiarity with healthcare tech constraints — HIPAA, SOC 2, audit logging — and how to design AI tooling that respects them
  • Background in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)

Benefits

  • Open Paid Time Off
  • Paid parental leave
  • Professional development
  • Wellness and technology stipends
  • A generous employee referral bonus
  • Employee stock option awards
