Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network dedicated to improving access to STEM education for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. They are seeking a skilled Project Manager to implement and execute transformational outcomes using Agile methodologies and JIRA for task management.

Responsibilities

  • Attend the meeting of the team you will be supporting (weekly or daily)
  • Create user stories to describe work items, with clear descriptions and acceptance criteria
  • Prioritize stories for the backlog and keep the team organized and focused
  • Conduct weekly meetings with stake holders and monitor the health of the Kanban board
  • Encourage team members to utilize JIRA for task management
  • Drive open communication with team members
  • Be the servant leader for the team members, mentoring/assisting them when needed
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and be “THE CHAMPION OF CHANGE”

Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise and application of Agile methodologies, techniques and frameworks
  • Successful track record of driving and facilitating teams
  • Commitment to continuous learning and mindset of relentless improvement
  • Experience using Jira, Kanban or Sprint Board, Slack
  • Excellent communication, analytical, mentoring and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week
