[Remote] Lead Director, Digital Content Studio & Story Hub
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CVS Health is formalizing a new Digital Content Studio to unify storytelling, production, and creative capabilities. The Lead Director will build and manage this new capability, overseeing digital content creation and ensuring high-quality, impactful storytelling across enterprise channels.
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead CVS Health’s new Digital Content Studio, defining vision, structure, workflows, and long‑term capability growth
- Manage and mentor a Creative Lead (motion graphics/design) and a Senior Producer overseeing production cycles and asset delivery
- Oversee the creation of digital content, including video, motion graphics, design, and written assets, for CVSHealth.com, enterprise social channels, and other owned or emerging distribution platforms
- Develop scalable production processes for intake, prioritization, creative development, and delivery
- Ensure all content aligns with brand, accessibility, and performance standards
- Build and lead the Story Hub as an editorial and insights capability within the Digital Content Studio
- Create the systems and governance for story intake, evaluation, prioritization, and lifecycle management
- Source high‑value stories from across the enterprise and shape them into narrative‑ready material for content development
- Maintain a centralized database of stories, insights, and raw materials that fuel digital content creation
- Ensure seamless collaboration between the Story Hub and creative/production teams to accelerate content development
- Serve as the primary partner to channel owners overseeing CVSHealth.com, enterprise social media, and additional enterprise distribution channels
- Translate channel and campaign needs into editorial pipelines, content plans, and creative briefs
- Build strong relationships with business units across the enterprise to source stories, gather insights, and support content needs
- Provide strategic counsel on storytelling, creative execution, and cross‑channel activation
- Establish governance frameworks covering content review, approvals, workflows, storage, and usage
- Build playbooks, templates, and documentation for consistent content development and enterprise storytelling
- Drive operational improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and support scalability
- Implement tracking systems for editorial status, production workflows, and asset delivery
- Develop and enable a network of 'story champions' across the organization to support ongoing story sourcing
- Partner with business units to embed storytelling practices and increase participation in Studio processes
- Promote a shared responsibility model where teams across the enterprise contribute stories and insights that support content creation
- Establish key performance indicators for Story Hub and Studio operations, including story pipeline growth, production velocity, content performance, and cross‑team collaboration
- Report insights and trends to leadership and channel partners
- Use data to optimize editorial strategy, production operations, and content effectiveness
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in content development/strategy, creative operations and production, digital communications, or editorial leadership
- Experience building, formalizing, or scaling creative or content capabilities, including process and workflow design
- Strong background managing creative and production teams, including video, design, and multimedia work
- Demonstrated ability to partner with digital channel owners and translate strategy into content plans
- Proven experience managing and developing creative and production talent
- Strong stakeholder‑management, relationship‑building, and organizational skills
- Familiarity and fluency with the U.S. health care landscape, including pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management, and/or health insurance sectors
- Experience launching editorial platforms, content hubs, or centralized content operations
- Experience working in a large, complex, or regulated enterprise
- Familiarity with content management systems, digital asset workflows, or customer insights platforms
