Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AppLab Systems, Inc is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Financial Technical Consultant to join their enterprise applications team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in PeopleSoft Financials and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable solutions while collaborating with functional teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, customize, and maintain PeopleSoft Financial applications and technical components
  • Develop and enhance PeopleCode, Application Engine programs, SQR reports, BI Publisher reports, Component Interfaces, Application Packages, and Fluid components
  • Support and enhance PeopleSoft Financial modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Purchasing (PO), Asset Management (AM), Billing, Projects, and Commitment Control
  • Build and maintain integrations using Integration Broker, REST/SOAP web services, APIs, file-based interfaces, and third-party systems
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL scripts, and database objects for improved system performance
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues, defects, and data inconsistencies
  • Participate in application upgrades, PeopleTools upgrades, patches, and migration activities
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to gather technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
  • Design technical specifications, coding standards, unit test plans, and deployment documentation
  • Support batch processing, interface monitoring, and scheduled jobs
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with organizational development standards and best practices
  • Work with DevOps, database administrators, and infrastructure teams during deployments and release cycles
  • Participate in system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production implementation activities
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers and support teams

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting PeopleSoft Financial applications
  • Strong expertise with PeopleTools development, including: PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interfaces, Application Designer, Integration Broker, Application Packages, BI Publisher, Fluid Development
  • Experience supporting PeopleSoft Financial modules such as GL, AP, AR, PO, Asset Management, Billing, Projects, and Commitment Control
  • Advanced SQL and database programming skills (Oracle preferred)
  • Experience developing REST/SOAP integrations and working with XML/JSON
  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, security, and migration tools
  • Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, Agile development practices, and version control tools
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with PeopleTools upgrades and PeopleSoft Image updates
  • Exposure to Oracle Cloud integrations or hybrid ERP environments
  • Experience with Kibana, Splunk, or enterprise monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
  • Experience working in large enterprise or public sector environments
  • PeopleSoft certifications or Oracle certifications are highly desirable
