Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking two entry‑level Lighting Designers for a power distribution client in the Greater Orlando Area. This client‑facing, fully remote role involves regular field work and customer travel, where the Lighting Designer will manage projects from initial assessment through design and handoff to construction.

Responsibilities

  • Meet directly with residential and commercial customers requesting new lighting installations
  • Conduct field assessments to evaluate site conditions and installation requirements
  • Perform lighting design work in accordance with utility standards and customer needs
  • Prepare customer billing and cost documentation
  • Coordinate project details and send scheduling information to construction teams
  • Work with internal teams on permitting and approvals
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the design phase
  • Travel to job sites and customer locations as required

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical)
  • Soft Skills/communication skills
  • Must have own vehicle, mileage will be expensed in Ocala
  • Company vehicle provided in Tallahassee
  • Experience working with AutoCAD or MicroStation
