[Remote] Cloud Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Onyx CenterSource is the leading global provider of B2B payments and business intelligence solutions to the hospitality industry. The Cloud Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining network, cloud, and infrastructure systems with a strong emphasis on AWS networking and firewall management, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of infrastructure across AWS and on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage Multi Account AWS cloud environments, including but not limited to VPC, EC2, Route 53 and other Core AWS Services
• Manage and support AWS and Onsite network infrastructure, including routing, connectivity, and firewall configurations
• Administer and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including policy management, VPNs, and security configurations
• Monitor system and network performance, respond to alerts and participate in incident response and on-call rotation
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, network, and cloud-related issues across environments
• Assist with infrastructure deployments, changes, and upgrades in collaboration with engineering teams
• Contribute to automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, networking, or cloud engineering roles
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Experience working with AWS core services (VPC, EC2, CloudWatch, Route 53)
• Must have AWS certification(s)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Linux system administration
• Exposure to Windows server environments
• Familiarity with GitLab and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Tempo)
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools
• Basic scripting or automation experience (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
