[Remote] Regional Water/Wastewater Practice Leader

They are seeking a Regional Water/Wastewater Practice Leader to lead the development of water and wastewater treatment projects in the Southeast area.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee quality assurance and control of water / wastewater treatment projects
- Provide technical expertise as QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis’ quality and safety practices
- Lead knowledge transfer and development of staff within area of expertise
- Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and technical staff and ensuring the development of Arcadis’ capability in the discipline(s)
- Manage technical coordination and leadership role on larger or complex projects, or projects with higher associated risk
- Working closely with a Arcadis Certified Project Manager, oversee and/or lead the technical delivery of very large projects, complex projects, or specialized projects ensuring client satisfaction, and good communication and collaboration between Arcadis colleagues
- Support marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of and participation in winning proposals and interviews, as well as developing scopes of work and budgets
- Build and maintain a strong professional reputation as an individual and for Arcadis
- Keep up to date with developments in the industry sector and with technical and legislative developments and seek out opportunities to develop a strong professional profile at a regional level (e.g., conference presentations, publications, and participation in technical committees)
- Actively engage with Southeast client account teams, supporting the expansion of business development opportunities and client relationships to strategically grow Arcadis’ Southeast portfolio, leveraging existing and new client relationships
Skills
- Minimum 20 years of water / wastewater treatment experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study
- Professional Engineer (PE) License and ability to obtain license by reciprocity in other states as needed
- Over 25 years of experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater projects at a comparable engineering firm
- A Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study
- Knowledge of and experience working with local clients in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and/or Alabama
- Active participation in regional or national professional associations
- Prior experience in a regional role with a proven ability to collaborate across regional teams
- Experience in progressive design build delivery and DBIA certification
