[Remote] Journalism Major SEO & Answer Engine Content Non Paid Intern (Academic Credit Only)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cinnamon Entertainment Group LLC is seeking a Journalism Intern for the May-December 2026 semesters. The role involves producing original, interview-driven articles and creating Answer Engine-optimized content while adhering to journalistic standards and SEO best practices.
Responsibilities
- Identify and interview employers across:
- Produce original articles such as:
- Employer spotlights
- Hiring trend stories
- Industry insights
- “Day in the Life” features
- Conduct interviews via:
- Phone
- Video calls
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and editorial quality
- Write content specifically designed to rank in:
- AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google SGE)
- Featured snippets and voice search
- Create:
- Q&A-driven articles
- Structured explainer content
- “How it works” and “What is” pages for CliquePrize®
- Focus on:
- Search intent
- Conversational phrasing
- Semantic coverage
- Use tools like ChatGPT and Writer.com for:
- Research
- Outlining
- Topic discovery
- Do NOT rely on AI for final content generation
- Edit and refine all content to meet:
- Journalistic standards
- Brand voice guidelines
- SEO/AEO best practices
- Publish across:
- Job boards (employer-focused content)
- CliquePrize® (consumer-facing AEO content)
- Digital agency blogs
- Implement:
- Internal linking strategies
- Keyword optimization
- Readability and engagement improvements
Skills
- Commit to 1 weekly meeting with the team and 2 hours per day during weekdays
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit through your university
- Strong interest in interviewing and storytelling
- Ability to ask smart, relevant questions
- Turn interviews into compelling articles
- Strong writing and editing skills (AP style is a plus)
- Understanding (or willingness to learn) SEO fundamentals
- Understanding (or willingness to learn) Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
- Understanding (or willingness to learn) AI-assisted research workflows
- Comfortable communicating professionally with employers
- Journalism, Communications, or English major
- Experience with interviews or student media (newspaper, magazine, etc.)
- Familiarity with Writer.com
- Familiarity with Google Docs / CMS platforms
- Interest in business, startups, or workforce trends
