As a Remote Part‑Time Data Analyst on the arenaflex Studio Research & Insights team, you will be at the heart of the organization’s product and consumer experience initiatives. Your analytical expertise will help translate raw data into actionable insights that influence content curation, product development, and marketing strategies across arenaflex’s streaming platforms and in‑home entertainment services.

Role Overview

This position is a hybrid role: you will work on‑site with the core research team from Monday through Thursday and enjoy a fully remote workday on Friday. Reporting to the Senior Director of Research, you will partner closely with product managers, marketing leaders, and cross‑functional stakeholders to design, execute, and communicate both quantitative and qualitative research projects. The role blends data engineering, statistical analysis, and storytelling to ensure that every decision is backed by reliable evidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research initiatives, including data collection, cleaning, and analysis for product and consumer experience projects.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources using SQL, creating comprehensive datasets that support research objectives.
  • Integrate disparate data sets—including internal product metrics, third‑party market data, and survey results—into unified tables and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into data‑driven research plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal research partners, external vendors, and data providers to facilitate seamless data flow.
  • Produce and present detailed reports, visualizations, and executive summaries that highlight key findings for product marketing, content strategy, and subscription growth initiatives.
  • Manage project timelines, conduct quality assurance checks, and communicate status updates to senior leadership to guarantee on‑time delivery.
  • Work alongside the senior manager and research team to ensure that insights are actionable and directly influence product roadmaps.
  • Partner with data engineering teams using Snowflake and Databricks to optimize data pipelines and improve query performance.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of data sources, transformation logic, and analytical methodologies for reproducibility and auditability.
  • Respond to ad‑hoc data requests from internal stakeholders, providing rapid, accurate answers that support day‑to‑day decision making.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in SVOD (Subscription Video‑On‑Demand) and in‑home entertainment, contributing thought leadership to internal discussions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in SQL with a demonstrated ability to join and aggregate data from multiple tables and sources.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to extract meaningful insights from complex, multi‑dimensional datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to craft clear, concise presentations for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a high‑velocity environment, managing multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Detail‑oriented approach to data quality, documentation, and reproducibility.
  • Experience working with cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, SAS, R, Python, or Stata.
  • Experience using survey and research platforms like Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or similar.
  • Exposure to large‑scale data environments and big‑data technologies, preferably in a cloud setting.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline or a professional certification in data analytics.
  • Background in consumer research, either on the client side (agency) or vendor side (technology provider).
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize research findings into strategic recommendations that drive product and marketing decisions.
  • Knowledge of subscription‑based business models and the dynamics of the streaming industry.
