We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Accounting Analyst (SFAA) to join a dynamic corporate accounting group supporting reporting, intercompany operations, and financial close activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Financial Accounting Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s month-end close process, intercompany accounting cycle, and overall financial reporting infrastructure. Your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • General Ledger & Month-End Close Support: Take ownership of key general ledger accounts and contribute to a timely, accurate month-end close process. This includes preparing and reviewing journal entries related to intercompany eliminations, intercompany allocations, and related party transactions.
  • Account Reconciliations & Variance Analysis: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for significant accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis. Perform detailed fluctuation analyses to identify and explain variances, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
  • Intercompany Account Management: Monitor intercompany balances continuously, identify and resolve out-of-balance issues promptly, and coordinate intercompany payment processes across multiple entities and regions.
  • Related Party Transaction Tracking: Maintain comprehensive records of related party transactions throughout the fiscal year. Conduct valuation analyses to determine whether related party transactions adhere to arm’s length principles and comply with applicable regulations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Content Finance, Legal, Tax, and other departments within the Controllership group to gather necessary supporting documentation, validate assumptions, and ensure accurate financial treatment of complex transactions.
  • Ad-Hoc Strategic Projects: Work directly with the Senior Manager of Financial Accounting – Corporate on special projects, process improvements, system implementations, and other strategic initiatives that strengthen the organization’s financial infrastructure.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Support the preparation of corporate financial statements by developing financial schedules, footnotes, and supporting documentation for management review and external reporting purposes.
  • Technical Accounting Research: Investigate complex technical accounting questions, evaluate authoritative guidance, and prepare accounting memos to document conclusions and recommended changes in accounting treatment.
  • Audit Coordination: Assist in managing both internal and external audit processes by responding to auditor requests, preparing supporting schedules, and coordinating status meetings to ensure timely completion of audit procedures.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for the Senior Financial Accounting Analyst position at arenaflex, candidates must possess the following foundational qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and the ability to apply technical guidance to real-world scenarios.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and confidently with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset combined with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to take initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who bring the following additional experience will be given priority consideration:

  • A blend of public accounting and private industry experience, ideally with exposure to large, complex organizations.
  • Hands-on experience working with SAP or other enterprise ERP systems.
  • Prior experience in the entertainment, streaming, media, or technology industries.
  • Active CPA license or active progress toward certification.

Required Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required. A Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is considered a plus.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The estimated hourly rate for this position is $28–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
