About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Insurance Technology

At arenaflex, we are on a mission to redefine the insurance experience by blending cutting‑edge technology with a customer‑first mindset. Our transformation journey moves us from a legacy IT framework to a modern, engineering‑driven organization where innovation, speed, and reliability are the cornerstones of everything we do. As a remote‑first company, we empower our talent to work from anywhere while fostering a culture of psychological safety, continuous learning, and collaborative problem‑solving. If you thrive in fast‑paced environments, love building high‑performance platforms, and want to shape the next generation of insurance solutions, this is the place for you.

Position Overview – Senior Engineer for CRM Customer Acquisitions

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer who is passionate about designing and delivering low‑latency, high‑throughput platforms that power our customer acquisition funnel. In this role, you will partner with cross‑functional teams—including product owners, architecture, infrastructure, release management, and security—to create friction‑less experiences for millions of policyholders. You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of critical services, from concept through production, while championing best practices in code quality, scalability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect & Build Distributed Systems: Design, develop, and maintain resilient, horizontally scalable services that handle high volumes of real‑time transactions.
  • Product Definition & Technical Leadership: Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, influencing product roadmaps and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization—including arenaflex CRM, infrastructure, architecture, release management, application security, and business product owners—to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Design Sessions & Code Reviews: Lead architecture workshops, design discussions, and peer code reviews to elevate engineering standards and mentor junior engineers.
  • Reusable Component Development: Create and maintain shared libraries, patterns, and frameworks that accelerate development across the organization.
  • Advanced Cloud & DevOps Practices: Leverage arenaflex cloud tooling (formerly Azure) for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, automated testing, and real‑time monitoring.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach engineers on best practices, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, propose enhancements, and drive adoption of modern development workflows.

Essential Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience with at least two modern languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, C#) and strong object‑oriented design skills.
  • 3+ years designing and implementing architecture for new and existing systems, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • 3+ years hands‑on experience with major cloud platforms (formerly AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud‑native services.
  • 2+ years working with open‑source frameworks and contributing to community‑driven projects.
  • Deep understanding of web service integration (REST/SOAP) and enterprise middleware (e.g., Apache Camel, Spring, Spring Boot).
  • Proficiency with modern front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks such as React or Flutter is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and automated testing.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and articulate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience with version control (Git), source repositories (formerly GitHub), and automated build tools.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (formerly MS SQL Server, Oracle) and data modeling best practices.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with arenaflex CRM (formerly Salesforce) – including standard and custom objects, validation rules, Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
  • Familiarity with event‑driven integration frameworks and message‑bus architectures.
  • Exposure to Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and data‑driven personalization strategies.
  • Experience building and configuring workflow automation tools such as flows and process builders.
  • Understanding of security best practices, including secure coding, threat modeling, and compliance requirements.

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required. Equivalent work experience or a combination of education and professional achievements will also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits Overview

We offer a competitive salary range of $66,000 – $185,000 annually, calibrated to experience, expertise, and geographic location. In addition to base compensation, arenaflex provides a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes:
