Role Overview

This is a fully remote, full‑time position reporting directly to the Senior Director of Customer Insights. You will own the end‑to‑end research lifecycle for social‑media‑driven customer feedback, from study design and data collection to analysis, storytelling, and strategic recommendation. Your work will be visible to senior leadership, cross‑functional partners, and external stakeholders, influencing decisions that affect millions of customers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Study Design: Partner with the Senior Director to define research objectives, develop comprehensive study plans, and select the most effective quantitative and qualitative methodologies for capturing social‑media sentiment.
  • Data Collection & Management: Oversee the deployment of surveys, sentiment‑analysis tools, and social listening platforms; ensure data integrity, privacy compliance, and timely delivery of raw datasets.
  • Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation: Apply statistical techniques (e.g., regression, factor analysis, clustering) and qualitative coding to uncover patterns, pain points, and emerging trends within customer feedback.
  • Storytelling & Presentation: Craft compelling narratives, visual dashboards, and executive‑level presentations that translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for product, marketing, and service teams.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, marketing strategists, CX specialists, and technology partners to embed insights into roadmap planning, campaign optimization, and service enhancements.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine the research workflow, adopting new tools, automation scripts, and best practices to increase efficiency and relevance.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with external research vendors and technology providers to ensure high‑quality data collection, methodological rigor, and cost‑effective solutions.
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as the internal champion for data‑driven decision making, mentoring junior analysts and promoting a culture of evidence‑based innovation.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in market research, customer insights, or consumer analytics, preferably within a retail or e‑commerce environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both quantitative (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) and qualitative (e.g., focus groups, thematic analysis) research methods.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high‑quality outputs under pressure.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating data into clear, persuasive stories for diverse audiences.
  • Experience designing and executing end‑to‑end research programs, including questionnaire development, sampling strategy, and data analysis.
