Role Overview – Senior Demand Planning Manager (Social Media Customer Support)

We are seeking a seasoned demand planning professional to lead the integration of social‑media‑driven customer insights into our forecasting and supply‑chain processes. This is a fully remote, full‑time position based in the United States, reporting to the Regional Director of Demand Planning for the Americas Business Unit. The role will partner with cross‑functional teams—including sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and IT—to translate real‑time consumer sentiment from social platforms into actionable demand plans that drive profitability, reduce waste, and enhance the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • S&OP Process Leadership: Own the end‑to‑end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle for the Americas BU, ensuring alignment of demand forecasts with supply capabilities and financial targets.
  • Social Media Insight Integration: Capture, analyze, and embed social‑media sentiment, trending topics, and consumer feedback into demand forecasts using advanced analytics tools.
  • Forecast Development & Maintenance: Build long‑range and short‑term demand plans in Anaplan (arenaflex’s demand planning platform) and SAP, meeting all required cut‑off dates with agreed‑upon accuracy thresholds.
  • Data Governance: Maintain the integrity, timeliness, and accuracy of all demand planning data within Anaplan, ensuring compliance with internal data‑quality standards.
  • Scenario Planning & Risk Management: Conduct “what‑if” analyses for new product introductions (NPD), product discontinuations, supply constraints, and inventory obsolescence, presenting risk‑adjusted recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing and Commercial teams to provide demand insights for promotional campaigns, product launches, and market‑entry strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, reduce forecast bias, and streamline the demand planning process through automation and best‑practice adoption.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver clear, data‑driven presentations to executives, sales leaders, and supply‑chain partners, translating complex analytics into actionable business decisions.
