Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Engineer (AWS / Azure)

This role requires candidates who are currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and C2C arrangements are not accepted. This role is remote. We're working with a large enterprise environment looking to add a Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Engineer to their team. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on cloud work and guiding overall architecture, with a focus on improving and optimizing an existing AWS-heavy environment. What you'll be doing

  • Support day-to-day cloud operations across AWS and Azure
  • Partner with application teams to improve and modernize existing environments
  • Help re-architect systems following recent large-scale cloud migrations
  • Work closely with an offshore partner (Accenture) to guide delivery and ensure quality
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce cost, and increase visibility (FinOps mindset)
  • Contribute to governance, standards, and overall cloud best practices

What they're looking for

  • Strong experience in AWS (primary) and Azure (secondary)
  • Background in cloud infrastructure, operations, or engineering
  • Experience with DevOps environments, pipelines, and infrastructure automation
  • Ability to operate independently and push work forward without heavy direction
  • Comfortable working across teams and holding partners accountable

Nice to have

  • Cloud architecture experience (helping re-design or improve environments)
  • Exposure to cost optimization / FinOps concepts
  • Experience working in large, enterprise environments
