As a Customer Success Engineer focused on the arenaflex Redshift service, you will be the technical bridge between our world‑class engineering teams and the most strategic customers in our ecosystem. Role Overview

In this dynamic position you will:

  • Collaborate closely with arenaflex Redshift engineering, product management, and operations teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Serve as the primary technical advocate for our largest and most strategic customers, guiding them through onboarding, optimization, and long‑term adoption.
  • Assist pre‑sales engagements by providing deep technical insight, crafting proof‑of‑concepts, and ensuring smooth transitions from sales to production.
  • Automate repetitive operational processes, develop reusable tooling, and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
  • Prioritize and triage operational incidents, communicate clear roadmaps, and align customer expectations with product development timelines.
  • Develop an intimate understanding of arenaflex Redshift architecture, as well as the unique configurations and use‑cases of each customer.
  • Influence feature prioritization by gathering and synthesizing customer feedback, market trends, and performance data.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Advocacy & Technical Support

  • Act as the trusted technical advisor for high‑value customers, delivering proactive guidance and rapid issue resolution.
  • Conduct deep‑dive troubleshooting sessions, leveraging logs, metrics, and system traces to identify root causes.
  • Document and share best practices, performance tuning tips, and architectural recommendations through webinars, whitepapers, and internal portals.

Pre‑Sales Enablement & Onboarding

  • Partner with sales teams to design and present technical solutions that align with prospective customers’ business objectives.
  • Build and execute proof‑of‑concept environments that showcase arenaflex Redshift’s scalability, security, and performance.
  • Guide new customers through migration planning, data loading strategies, and initial configuration to ensure a smooth launch.

Automation & Process Improvement

  • Identify repetitive manual tasks across support, onboarding, and monitoring workflows.
  • Develop scripts, APIs, and self‑service tools that reduce toil, improve consistency, and free up engineering time for higher‑impact work.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps and Platform teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and monitoring dashboards.

Product Feedback & Roadmap Influence

  • Gather detailed feedback from customers regarding feature gaps, performance bottlenecks, and emerging use‑cases.
  • Translate customer insights into clear, actionable product requirements and prioritize them alongside internal engineering initiatives.
  • Participate in regular product planning meetings, presenting data‑driven arguments for enhancements and new capabilities.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work hand‑in‑hand with Business Operations, Support, and Marketing teams to align messaging, service level expectations, and escalation procedures.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions that keep internal stakeholders up‑to‑date on the latest arenaflex Redshift features and best practices.
  • Represent arenaflex at industry conferences, user groups, and customer advisory boards, showcasing thought leadership and building brand credibility.

Essential Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with relational database systems, data warehousing, or cloud‑based analytics platforms (e.g., PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar).
  • Cloud Proficiency: Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting solutions on major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) with a focus on networking, security, and storage.
  • Programming & Scripting: Strong command of Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation, data manipulation, and API integration.
  • Customer‑Facing Skills: Proven track record of managing complex technical relationships, delivering clear communication, and influencing outcomes in high‑stakes environments.
  • Problem‑Solving Acumen: Ability to dissect intricate system interactions, reproduce intermittent issues, and propose robust, scalable solutions.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically with arenaflex Redshift or comparable data‑warehouse services.
  • Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer.
  • Background in performance tuning, query optimization, and large‑scale data migration projects.
