Why This Role Matters

The Lead Financial Analyst – Entry‑Level position sits at the heart of arenaflex’s financial strategy. You will partner with the arenaflex SCORE team to design, maintain, and evolve the financial models that drive revenue forecasting, cost optimization, and strategic decision‑making across the enterprise. This is a unique opportunity for a recent graduate or early‑career professional to gain hands‑on experience with sophisticated financial planning tools, collaborate with senior leaders, and influence the financial health of a Fortune‑500 technology powerhouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine financial allocation rules and rule‑sets within the arenaflex PCMCS (Planning, Consolidation, and Management Cloud Service) system.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of allocation calculations, applying appropriate materiality thresholds and control frameworks.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders—including Marketing, Operations, and Product—to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and drive alignment on financial assumptions.
  • Support the month‑end close process by validating financial data, preparing journal entries, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, performing variance analysis, scenario modeling, and ad‑hoc financial studies.
  • Maintain and enhance standardized dashboards using PowerBI, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), and other visualization tools to provide real‑time insights to senior leadership.
  • Act as the subject‑matter expert (SME) for allocation methodology, providing guidance and training to SCORE colleagues and broader finance teams.
  • Conduct deep‑dive investigations into complex financial anomalies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions with minimal supervision.
  • Document processes, controls, and best practices to support audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve data quality, streamline workflows, and enhance the overall financial reporting ecosystem.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, or cost management.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint for executive‑level presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets, perform data validation, and ensure data integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA credential (or actively pursuing certification).
  • Experience with financial planning and consolidation tools such as PCMCS, Smart View, or Oracle Hyperion.
  • Hands‑on experience building interactive dashboards in PowerBI or Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data‑extraction techniques for ad‑hoc analysis.
  • Familiarity with cost allocation methodologies, intercompany eliminations, and transfer pricing concepts.
  • Exposure to revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) and subscription‑based business models.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional projects, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for uncovering insights that drive strategic decisions.

Skills and Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex financial data, identify trends, and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working across multiple business units, building relationships, and fostering a team‑first mentality.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive in diagnosing issues, developing solutions, and implementing improvements.
