[Remote] Lead HRIS Analyst

The Lead HRIS Analyst will serve as a senior functional and technical expert for Workday HCM, providing strategic guidance and hands-on configuration to ensure operational excellence across key modules.

Responsibilities

Lead configuration, testing, and deployment of enhancements across Workday HCM modules, including Payroll Security Administration Time & Absence Benefits Advanced Compensation Translate business requirements into solutions and recommend design improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance Design, build, and maintain business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, custom validations, and notifications/alerts Ability to define and understand functional and data requirements for integrations, while collaborating closely with the integration developer Serve as the escalation point for complex system issues, troubleshooting root causes, and ensuring timely resolution Maintain system integrity and data accuracy through audits, testing, and ongoing monitoring Manage biannual Workday releases, including impact analysis, regression planning, and configuration updates Design and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions to support HR and business leaders Oversee Workday security configuration, including role administration, access controls, and audit compliance Ensure adherence to data privacy, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards Lead Workday-related projects, from scoping and requirements gathering to design, testing, and deployment Work closely with internal stakeholders on cross-functional projects Influence process improvements, standardization, and best practice adoption Support training and knowledge transfer within the HRIS team Act as an adviser to HR and business stakeholders, offering guidance on Workday capabilities, process improvements, and system optimization Other duties as assigned Skills Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of HRIS experience with at least 6+ years of Workday HCM configuration Hands-on experience configuring multiple Workday modules, including Payroll, Time & Absence, Benefits, Security, and/or Compensation Experience building Workday reports and configuring dashboards Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills Ability to lead cross-functional projects and work independently Workday Payroll Certification Workday Pro Security Certification Experience with complex report building including composite reports Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms UKG, iCIMS, OnBase Knowledge of HR operations, compliance, and payroll processes Experience mentoring or guiding HRIS analysts or other lead experience Benefits Medical/vision Dental Flexible spending accounts Life Disability Retirement Family life support Employee assistance program Onsite health clinic Tuition reimbursement Paid vacation (12-22 days per year) Paid sick leave (12-25 days per year) Paid holidays (13 days per year) Paid parental leave (up to 4 weeks) Company Overview Fred Hutch is an independent, nonprofit organization that also serves as the cancer program for UW Medicine.
