[Remote] Senior Onboarding Accountant

As a Senior Onboarding Accountant, you will be responsible for onboarding new clients, executing implementation projects, and improving financial insights before transitioning clients to the recurring services team.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the initial point of contact for new clients
- Serves as a mentor and supports other implementation associates
- Gains access to clients’ systems and, in some cases, converts to our platforms
- Anticipates project risks, addresses any challenges, reduces issues, and escalates to appropriate parties
- Identifies creative ways to overcome obstacles
- Develops an understanding of current client processes and identify gaps and areas of opportunity
- Executes clean-up activities to get accounting records up to date and accurate
- Realigns chart of accounts and financial statements to enhance financial insights and visibility
- Prepares process documentation to enable a seamless transition to recurring service team
- Communicates progress updates to clients on a weekly basis
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
- 4+ years of accounting experience is required
- Excellent people, customer service, organizational and presentation skills
- Extremely detail oriented and focused on completion and follow up
- Strong collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability and desire to multi-task and take on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent work habits and self-motivation
- A passion for building and being part of a team
- Outsourced accounting onboarding experience strongly preferred
