[Remote] Sr Programmer-Sr Data Scientist/Analys Real-World Data (SAS/R)

The role of Sr Programmer-Sr Data Scientist involves programming in SAS or R, conducting longitudinal cohort studies, and applying epidemiological methods to analyze real-world data.
Responsibilities
- Highly proficient in SAS or R
- Extensive familiarity with commercial claims and EHR databases, such as Optum, MarketScan, IQVIA PharMetrics, or HealthVerity
- Ability to conduct longitudinal cohort studies, including creating study cohorts, baseline and outcome variables from scratch
- Solid understanding of epidemiologic study designs and methodologies
- Hands-on experience with basic statistical tests, regression models, and survival analysis
- Assess quality of the data
- Protocol and SAP review and input
- Conduct analyses (programming of TFLs)
Skills
- Highly proficient in SAS or R
- Extensive familiarity with commercial claims and EHR databases, such as Optum, MarketScan, IQVIA PharMetrics, or HealthVerity
- Ability to conduct longitudinal cohort studies, including creating study cohorts, baseline and outcome variables from scratch
- Solid understanding of epidemiologic study designs and methodologies
- Hands-on experience with basic statistical tests, regression models, and survival analysis
- Advanced degree in Biostatistics or Epidemiology
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in a scientific or statistical discipline; in lieu of degree, an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated programming experience
- Extensive programming experience in SAS or other required software, preferably in a clinical trial environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry, but not necessarily
