They are seeking a Senior Legal Analyst to perform a variety of complex paralegal duties in support of the Healthcare Rights and Access Section, focusing on ensuring access to affordable and equitable healthcare while handling investigations, trials, and appeals related to healthcare matters.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of complex paralegal duties in support of the Section’s programs and processes
  • Focus on federal accountability work to ensure California's access to affordable and equitable healthcare, including against any threats from the federal administration
  • Support attorneys in complex and federal court matters

Skills

  • Experience supporting attorneys in complex and federal court matters is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Computer skills
  • Experience assisting with cases
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Ability to take initiative and assume responsibility
  • Ability to exercise good judgment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A fingerprint check will be required
