[Remote] Junior Data Analyst

ITA International is a tech-enabled professional services company headquartered in Newport News, Virginia, specializing in data analytics and technology. They are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering and preparing data from various sources for analysis
- Conduct preliminary data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to team members and stakeholders
- Support the team in standardizing data sets and ensuring data quality
- Collaborate with senior analysts to understand business needs and provide insights
- Document analytical processes and maintain accurate records of data sources
- Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and findings
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics
- 0-3 years of experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL)
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Familiarity with statistical analysis methods and software
- Knowledge of data management best practices including SQL
- Prior internship or coursework in data analysis or a related area is beneficial
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
