[Remote] Pharmacy Data Analyst II

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking a Pharmacy Data Analyst II to support advanced pharmacy analytics and reporting efforts in a cloud-based environment. The role involves testing and validation to ensure data accuracy, contributing to AI-enabled analytics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, defining requirements, developing, and validating complex reporting and/or data files necessary to meet business objectives
  • Utilizing business knowledge to perform in-depth analyses, proactively investigating abnormal results, writing descriptive summaries of gathered data, and optimizing delivery of end product
  • Proactively analyzing changes in business processes and updating reporting/file feeds accordingly
  • Researching and responding to questions and change requests from business partners
  • Articulating reporting results and business impact
  • Peer review work product of junior and senior analysts and mentor junior analysts

Skills

  • Bachelors degree in business or healthcare or relevant field or equivalent work experience required
  • 3 years - Experience with SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, Studio), SQL, Tableau, or similar experience with programming and/or statistical analysis required
  • 5 years - Reporting, data analysis, or similar experience required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Capacity to solve problems and manage multiple assignments with critical deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Adaptive to high pace and changing environment
  • SQL and Databricks experience preferred
  • Experience with AI agent training, development, or optimization is strongly preferred
