[Remote] K–3 Spanish Foundational Skills Curriculum Writer

They are seeking a K–3 Spanish Foundational Skills Curriculum Writer to develop standards-aligned Spanish-language curriculum and instructional materials for early childhood education, ensuring instructional coherence and cultural relevance.
Responsibilities
- Write and adapt Spanish‑language curriculum and instructional materials (units, lesson plans, assessments, student materials)
- Ensure Spanish-language content is linguistically accurate, instructionally coherent, culturally grounded, and aligned to biliteracy goals
- Apply biliteracy and Spanish literacy frameworks to guide instructional decisions across units and grade levels
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, translators, and instructional designers
- Incorporate evidence‑based best practices in Spanish Language Arts instruction and literacy development
- Revise materials based on internal and client feedback
- Support the development of teacher‑facing materials and professional learning resources as needed
- Apply knowledge of current trends in Spanish literacy and bilingual/dual‑language education
- Integrate appropriate tools—including AI—to support content development while maintaining instructional quality and linguistic integrity
Skills
- Exceptional fluency in Spanish, including strong command of Spanish orthography, grammar, phonological awareness terminology, and instructional language
- Strong proficiency in English for internal and cross‑team communication
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, literacy, bilingual education, or a related field
- Familiarity with AI tools and comfort learning new software platforms
- Excellent Spanish‑language writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Commitment to educational equity and inclusive literacy practices
- Comfort with project management tools and deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and multitask in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and meet frequent deadlines

- Strong familiarity with the US K–12 education system
- Educational writing experience
- Experience (professional, internship, or volunteer) in teaching, foundational literacy instruction, or bilingual education
