[Remote] Business Development Specialist – Office of the COO

They are seeking a highly organized, commercially driven Business Development Specialist to work alongside the COO, focusing on sales development and project execution within healthcare and supply chain markets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage follow-up and progression of qualified and warm leads assigned by the COO
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Build and nurture relationships throughout the sales cycle, from outreach through close
  • Schedule and coordinate discovery meetings, introductory calls, and product demonstrations
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, activity tracking, and pipeline updates
  • Assist with proposal development, quote coordination, and deal execution
  • Research target accounts and develop prospect intelligence to support account-based outreach
  • Monitor pipeline performance and proactively identify opportunities and risks
  • Support achievement of key commercial initiatives (KCIs) through disciplined sales execution
  • Partner with the COO to identify, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and accountability structures
  • Track progress across departments and drive completion of key action items
  • Prepare executive presentations, reports, dashboards, and business updates
  • Analyze KPIs and provide operational insights to support decision-making
  • Facilitate meetings, document action items, and ensure follow-through
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and business case development
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend scalable improvements
  • Act as an extension of the COO in managing priorities and organizational execution
  • Engage hospitals, health systems, clinical engineering teams, and enterprise IT organizations
  • Understand mobility, charging, cart integration, and mobile device management workflows
  • Build relationships with procurement, clinical operations, and IT stakeholders
  • Support growth initiatives within healthcare accounts and strategic opportunities
  • Engage warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, and fulfillment organizations
  • Position solutions that improve workforce mobility, operational efficiency, and infrastructure scalability
  • Support expansion within existing accounts and new market segments
  • Develop relationships with operational and technology decision-makers

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in business development, sales development, project management, or a comparable hybrid role
  • Proven success managing outbound prospecting efforts and advancing opportunities through a sales pipeline
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience driving timelines, deliverables, and accountability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Experience selling technology, healthcare IT, mobility solutions, charging systems, or supply chain infrastructure
  • Experience supporting executive leadership in a Chief of Staff, Executive Operations, or Strategic Projects capacity
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and modern outbound prospecting tools
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using Excel or business intelligence tools
  • Experience supporting trade shows, channel partners, or industry events
  • MBA is a plus but not required
