Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead and execute procurement strategy for a healthcare organization. This is a remote position responsible for optimizing the acquisition of medical supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, and services while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards. The Director of Procurement will play a critical role in improving supply chain efficiency, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost-effective, high-quality procurement practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives that support organizational goals related to cost control, quality, and operational efficiency. Oversee procurement operations for medical supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, and contracted services across the organization. Lead vendor relationship management, including contract negotiation, performance oversight, compliance monitoring, and value optimization. Partner with clinical, operational, and financial leadership to align procurement strategies with patient care priorities and organizational objectives. Ensure all procurement activities comply with healthcare regulations, contracting standards, and internal policies. Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and supply chain optimization. Lead, mentor, and develop procurement staff, fostering accountability, professional growth, and operational excellence. Manages the procurement budget, analyzes spending trends and reports on key performance indicators to senior management. Oversee RFP processes, contract renewals, supplier evaluations, and risk mitigation efforts. Drive continuous improvement by applying industry best practices, benchmarking, and emerging procurement technologies. Qualifications 7–10 years of progressive procurement experience, including 3–5 years in healthcare procurement. Strong knowledge of healthcare contracting, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards. Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization. Proficiency with procurement and supply chain systems, data analysis tools, and reporting platforms. Proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical, operational, and executive teams in a remote environment. Procurement or supply chain certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) strongly preferred. Ability to lead change, improve processes, and adapt to evolving healthcare supply chain demands. Apply To This Job
