Role Overview

The Remote Senior Enterprise Application Support Analyst will serve as a technical champion for the Coupa suite within arenaflex’s Enterprise Technology organization. You will partner with business stakeholders, external vendors, and cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust solutions that support logistics, procurement, and spend management across multiple brands and geographies. This role blends solution architecture, production support, vendor management, and project leadership to ensure that arenaflex’s enterprise applications are reliable, scalable, and continuously improving.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Act as the subject‑matter expert for Coupa and related enterprise applications, collaborating with business owners and technical stakeholders to translate high‑level business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Design sustainable, scalable solutions that align with arenaflex’s architectural standards and support long‑term growth.
  • Lead architectural reviews, providing insights on existing product portfolios and recommending enhancements that improve performance, reliability, and security.
  • Drive the adoption of best‑in‑class design patterns, including “security by design,” to ensure compliance with internal and industry standards.
  • Partner with the security engineering team to embed security controls throughout the solution lifecycle.

Production Support & Incident Management

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for Coupa‑related incidents, working closely with end‑users, internal partners, and external service providers to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis, develop corrective actions, and implement preventive measures to minimize future disruptions.
  • Monitor application performance using tools such as New Relic, Datadog, and synthetic transaction monitors, proactively identifying trends and opportunities for optimization.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation—including runbooks, support guides, and knowledge‑base articles—to enable seamless knowledge transfer and consistent support delivery.
  • Lead post‑incident reviews, capture lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the IT service management (ITSM) framework.

Vendor Management & Service Delivery

  • Own the relationship with Coupa and other third‑party vendors, ensuring service‑level agreements (SLAs) are met and that vendors adhere to arenaflex’s quality and security expectations.
  • Gather and prioritize enhancement requests, manage the product backlog, and coordinate delivery with vendor development teams.
  • Participate in vendor testing cycles, oversee regression testing, and validate releases before production deployment.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives) and champion DevOps practices to accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality.
  • Contribute to periodic risk assessments, documenting findings and recommending mitigation strategies to senior leadership.

Project Management & Operational Transition

  • Lead small‑to‑medium‑scale projects (budget ≤ $250K), overseeing scope definition, resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop end‑to‑end transition plans, including hyper‑care support, runbooks, and operational level agreements (OLAs) to ensure smooth hand‑off to production teams.
  • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and compliance teams to align project outcomes with broader arenaflex business objectives.
  • Track project metrics, report status updates, and manage risks to keep initiatives on schedule and within budget.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in an enterprise support role within a large, complex organization.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience developing, configuring, or supporting Coupa solutions (P2P, Contract Management, Spend Management, Indirect Procurement).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in enterprise architecture, with the ability to translate business processes into technical designs.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP modules (AP, MM, WM) and experience integrating Coupa with SAP environments.
  • Proven track record of managing vendor relationships, SLAs, and third‑party escalations.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with DevOps tooling (CI/CD pipelines, automated testing).
  • Excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Expertise

  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or Scrum Master.
  • Hands‑on experience with monitoring platforms (New Relic, Datadog) and incident‑response frameworks.
  • Background in service‑management best practices, including participation in Service Review Boards and Continuous Improvement programs.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern integration patterns (REST, SOAP, OData).
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI‑driven spend analytics, robotic process automation (RPA), and blockchain‑based procurement solutions.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a matrixed organization, coordinating with finance, legal, procurement, and IT security.

  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of Coupa configuration (chart of accounts, approval workflows, PO customizations, tax codes, cXML, punch‑out catalogs) and integration with ERP systems.

  • Problem‑Solving: Rapid troubleshooting of production incidents, root‑cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
  • Collaboration: Strong partnership skills with internal business units, external vendors, and global support teams.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior analysts, and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and persuasive written and verbal communication, tailored to technical and non‑technical audiences.
