We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytically sharp Remote Senior Data Science Analyst to join our Search & Recommendations Analytics team. Below is a comprehensive overview of your key responsibilities:

  • Design, Execute, and Analyze A/B Tests: Plan, run, and interpret the results of controlled experiments that evaluate new recommendation algorithms and strategies. You will also develop innovative testing methodologies and advanced test analysis techniques to strengthen our experimental framework.
  • KPI Reporting and Monitoring: Build and maintain dashboards that track core performance metrics. You will implement novelty detection instruments and apply advanced measurement approaches to surface actionable insights in real time.
  • Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Conduct clustering, segmentation, and other exploratory techniques to uncover hidden patterns within our data, generating new insights that inform the product recommendation roadmap.
  • Build and Maintain Internal Tools: Use and develop in-house automated solutions. For example, you might create a QA tool that helps us better understand the performance of new algorithms before they’re deployed in A/B tests, increasing efficiency and reducing risk.
  • Run Unconditional Exploratory Analysis: Proactively identify novel ideas and untapped opportunities by digging deep into our datasets without predetermined hypotheses.
  • Proactive Model Monitoring: Continuously monitor recommendation models in production, detect anomalies, identify root causes of issues, and partner with engineering teams to resolve them swiftly.
  • Tool Development for Productivity: Construct new tools and processes that enable the team to be more productive and efficient, reducing manual effort and accelerating time-to-insight.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with product managers, machine learning engineers, data scientists, and other key partners across the organization.
  • Strategic Communication: Clearly and persuasively communicate key insights, findings, and recommendations to cross-functional executive leaders, translating complex analytical results into compelling business narratives.
