Position Overview – Summer Undergraduate Intern (Data Entry & Market Insights) Are you a college student eager to apply analytical thinking, financial acumen, and critical problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment? This 11‑week remote internship, scheduled for the late spring of 2025, is designed for students in their penultimate year of study. You will work alongside seasoned professionals on high‑impact projects that influence arenaflex’s merchandising strategy, product assortment, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Use data‑analysis tools to extract, clean, and interpret raw data sets, turning them into actionable insights for merchandising and marketing teams.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Generate concise reports and visual dashboards that highlight trends, performance metrics, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Customer Experience Support: Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to ensure product page content is accurate, follows classification standards, and enhances the shopper journey on arenaflex.com.
  • Category Planning & Forecasting: Assist category managers in tracking sales against financial targets, preparing trade‑off analyses, and supporting inventory planning decisions.
  • Promotion Execution: Develop and implement promotional recommendations for both in‑store and online channels, monitoring the effectiveness of weekly category highlights.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Conduct post‑implementation reviews, identify gaps, and propose corrective actions to maintain compliance with internal standards.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work with suppliers to gather missing product data, ensure accurate item setup, and support the onboarding of new vendors.
  • Business Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in existing workflows, suggest process enhancements, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, finance, supply chain, and technology teams to translate business needs into data‑driven solutions.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear documentation of methodologies, data sources, and project outcomes for future reference.

Essential Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a four‑year Bachelor’s program (junior year preferred) with a major in Business, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong quantitative aptitude and a demonstrated ability to work with large data sets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and familiarity with data‑visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex findings in a clear, concise manner.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
