[Remote] Quality Engineer

They are hiring a Quality Engineer to design and develop software tests for quality assurance, analyze user needs, and improve software functionality and features. The role involves developing various testing programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software tests for quality assurance to identify software problems and root causes
  • Analyze user needs and develop software testing to meet business requirements
  • Participate in software design reviews and provide input on functional requirements to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Develop testing programs that address areas such as manual testing, automated testing, functional testing, system testing, regression testing, mobile testing, application testing, performance testing, usability testing, system integration, and data migration
  • Actively participate in test case development and execution for assigned projects and leverage knowledge of complex software architecture and software design documents
  • Implement quality assurance (QA) strategy and planning, effort estimation, and risk mitigation, and prepare the test suite for QA execution to ensure requirements and quality targets are met
  • Develop test plans and assess performance data
  • Analyze requirements and identify test scenarios impacting business functionality ahead of updates to prepare for implementation
  • Document application defect triage and report defects using bug tracking systems
  • Utilize test management tools (HP, ALM, Rally, SBM teamtrack), SQL and Web Applications/Web Services, and relational databases
  • Support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Validate the results of testing to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices
  • Mentor junior team members

Skills

  • Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Six (6) months of experience in the job offered or related occupation
  • Six (6) months of experience in Agile methodologies or SCRUM Software Development process
  • Six (6) months of experience in Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Six (6) months of experience in Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting
  • Six (6) months of experience in SAP ECC, SAP S4 HANA, and SAP ARIBA
  • Six (6) months of experience in SAP Manual Testing
  • Six (6) months of experience in Software Defect Tracking and Monitoring
  • Six (6) months of experience in Domain support for healthcare or retail organization
