[Remote] Marketplace Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hagerty is the world’s largest insurer of collectible and enthusiast vehicles, dedicated to providing a community for drivers. As a Marketplace Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy and quality of auction listings by communicating with sellers, creating engaging content, and managing photo submissions, all while meeting daily business goals.

Responsibilities

• Writing unique auction descriptions that accurately describe our listings
• Serve as the primary point of contact for sellers throughout the listing process
• Collect and verify detailed information about vehicles, including specifications, service history, and ownership background
• Create well-organized, engaging, and informative auction listings
• Coordinate and organize vehicle photo submissions; ensure photo sets are complete, high-quality, and follow brand guidelines
• Proven ability to relay the importance of professional photography to sellers to bring the best listings to market
• Assist sellers with guidance on how to photograph and present their vehicles effectively
• Provide sellers with critical feedback about how they can improve their listing
• Collaborate with the team to ensure listings are launched on schedule and meet quality standards
• Maintain accurate records and track progress of each listing through internal systems
• This role is responsible for hitting day-to-day business goals that contribute to our company targets
• Coordination with sellers you are working with as well as the creation of listings

Skills

• Strong online auction experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience in content creation, copywriting, or editorial work is a plus
• Familiarity with photography basics and visual presentation best practices
• Knowledge of or passion for classic/collector cars is strongly preferred
• Comfortable with image file handling, resizing, cropping, basic editing
• Ability to manage multiple listings at various stages with minimal oversight
• Ability to edit and fact check listings
• Proven ability to navigate day-to-day problems with minimal oversight
• Proven ability to create 4+ listings per day, with little dependence from team members
• Broad knowledge of online auctions and the collector car market as a whole
