Microsoft is seeking a Program Manager (Contract) to work at the intersection of content strategy, data analysis, and live product operations. The role involves transforming user behavior and feedback into actionable plans to enhance engagement and improve content systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user behavior, telemetry, and feedback to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Translate insights into actionable content plans, live operations schedules, and engagement strategies
  • Define and evolve content structures including categories, topics, challenges, and recommendations
  • Drive live content planning and execution in a pre-launch and early-scale environment
  • Partner across product, design, engineering, and analytics teams to implement improvements
  • Evaluate output quality and consistency, identify issues, and drive resolution
  • Work with AI-generated content systems by running prompts, reviewing outputs, and flagging inaccuracies or failure patterns
  • Turn recurring feedback into structured product or feature recommendations
  • Continuously test, iterate, and refine content strategies based on performance signals

Skills

  • 2 or more years of experience in data analysis and insight generation, including telemetry, user behavior analysis, or feedback-driven product decisions
  • 2 or more years of experience working with structured content systems such as spreadsheets, schemas, or large-scale output quality assurance
  • 1 to 2 or more years of experience working with generative AI tools and evaluating AI-generated content
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to turn ambiguous input into clear, actionable direction
  • Experience working with user data, telemetry, or feedback-driven product decisions
  • Comfort working with structured content systems such as spreadsheets or schemas
  • Ability to evaluate quality at scale and quickly identify errors, inconsistencies, and edge cases
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and comfort reviewing AI-generated outputs
  • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to translate insights into recommendations and plans
  • Self-directed and decisive with the ability to operate independently without heavy oversight
  • Experience with live operations, content planning, or engagement systems is a plus
  • Background in digital products, games, or interactive experiences is a plus
  • Experience working with recommendation systems or personalization is a plus
  • Exposure to prompt-based content generation or AI-assisted workflows is a plus
