Data Analyst (Mid to Senior) - REMOTE

The Opportunity: The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, compiling, and presenting metrics related to staffing, retention, and workforce analytics for both military and civilian personnel. This role is critical in providing insights that will inform staffing decisions and strategies within the division. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze and interpret staffing and retention metrics. • Manipulate and merge data using Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, or Polars to create comprehensive datasets. • Develop and maintain data pipelines used for creating/tracking key human capital metrics. • Compile and present data-driven reports using PowerPoint to communicate trends and insights to leadership. • Work independently with minimal oversight, functioning as a solo analyst within a military Program Executive Office (PEO). Required Skills: • 3+ years of experience with Python. • Proficiency in data manipulation with DataFrames (joins, merges, unions) using Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, Polars). • 3+ years of experience using PowerPoint for report and presentation development. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and interpret data trends. • Proficiency in Excel, including the creation and manipulation of complex spreadsheets. • Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight. Preferred Skills: • 3+ years of experience with machine learning approaches. • 3+ years in agile team roles, ranging from individual contributor to scrum master, • Knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis. • Experience in creating metrics dashboards. • Familiarity with Typescript.
