Fun and Flexible After School Childcare

Department Overview: Wa are a loving family who enjoy the UW system (the girls mother is employed there). We are looking for after school child care for our two wonderful elementary school girls (Ages 8 & 6... Our girls love playing on the playground after school, playing in the park and generally being outside. On most days after school, you can simply bring a snack and some water bottles with you and they'll play with their friends on the school playground for quite some time after school. On rainy days, they enjoy board games, crafting, and legos. Our older daughter loves games, biking and skateboarding, and our younger daughter loves all things unicorns and princesses! As we are on several bus lines and will have a car available most days, a car is not requred for this role. Anticipated Start Date 9/4/24 Anticipated End Date 6/13/25 Anticipated Hours Per Week 14-20 Schedule: Monday - 1:30pm-6pm Tuesday - Friday - 3pm-6pm Our biggest needs are Tuesday - Thursday, but if you'd like more hours, we can do the whole week too. We would be looking either at care for the first semester only, or the entire academic year. If there was interest, there is also a possibility of rolling this into a full-time summer child care position as well. Salary/Wage Range: Hourly $20.00 to $22.00 Number Of Positions 1 Position Summary/Job Duties: Our current and longtime nanny is graduating from the UW and moving on to full time employment! We are looking for child care to cover after school and some evenings depending on our work schedules. We have two wonderful and fun daughters in elementary school, ages 8 and 6. We can be somewhat flexible on dates of the week depending on your class schedule and hours you'll need. Reponsibilities include picking the girls up from school in the afternoon, getting them a snack, and having fun with them until the early evening. Additional requirements may include getting the girls to and from an extra-curricular activity such as soccer practice. One of our cars can be made available for this. A car could be helpful but is not required. We are located near Hildale Mall/Target and on several bus lines to and from campus. We are steps away from one of the new Bus Rapid Transit stops when that opens later this year. Once you are at our house, a car will be there when needed. Our girls' elementary school is just a short walk from our house for pickups and one of our cars will be available for rainy or cold days when walking won't be fun :) Qualifications: Previous child care experience with references. Nanny experience is great! Other than that, must enjoy having a great time with two sweet and fun girls! Physical Demands Being able to walk to and from school (on nice days). Going to the park.
