Job Summary:
Waste Management, a leading provider of comprehensive waste and environmental services in North America, is currently seeking a reliable and responsible Recycling Truck Driver to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate, ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance, paid training, and paid vacations.
Job Description:
As a Recycling Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy commercial truck, pick up and transport recycling materials from customer locations to recycling facilities. Our ideal candidate is a punctual, reliable team player who understands and respects safety standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
– Operate recycling collection trucks in a safe and effective manner.
– Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
– Ensure timely collection of recycling materials as per scheduled routes.
– Follow routing guidelines and adjust to route changes as needed.
– Identify and report any unsafe situations to management.
– Maintain and update logbooks, records and reports as required.
– Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
Requirements:
– Valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License with Air Brake Endorsement.
– Minimum one year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience.
– Satisfactory driving record.
– Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
– Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Educational Qualifications:
– High school diploma or GED equivalent.
