Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Event Assistant to join our team at Sodexo in Davenport. This position offers a competitive hourly wage, along with benefits such as Health and Dental coverage, Paid Training, and Paid Vacations. The working hours for this position are flexible and will always be under 4 hours per day.

Description:

As an Event Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of all types of events. You will work closely with the Event Manager and other team members to ensure events run smoothly and guests have a positive experience.

Responsibilities:

– Assisting the Event Manager in the planning and organization of events.

– Liaising with vendors and suppliers.

– Ensuring all event logistics are in place.

– Providing excellent customer service to event guests.

– Implementing event schedules and managing timelines.

– Helping set up and break down event spaces.

Requirements:

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

– Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Educational Qualifications:

– A High School diploma is required. A degree or certificate in Event Management or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

– Previous experience in event planning or coordination is highly desirable.
