Job Summary:
J.B. Hunt is seeking an experienced and dedicated CDL Class A Driver for our growing transportation team. Your primary objective will be to safely and efficiently deliver and pick up goods and materials from specified locations.
Description:
As a CDL Class A Dedicated Driver, you will be responsible for operating large vehicles, navigating routes, and ensuring that cargo is safely loaded and unloaded. Youll be driving J.B. Hunts state-of-the-art vehicles while adhering to all traffic and transportation laws.
Requirements:
– Valid CDL Class A license
– Safe driving record with no traffic violations
– Ability to lift heavy objects
– Excellent knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations
– Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
– Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
– Willingness to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
Responsibilities:
– Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
– Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
– Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
– Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
– Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
– Collect and verify delivery instructions
– Report defects, accidents, or violations

Educational Qualifications:
– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Valid CDL Class A drivers license
Experience:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
