Remote Sr. Engineer JAMF for Apple Device Management

Job Overview We are on the lookout for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior JAMF Engineer to enhance our remote team! In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the deployment, management, and maintenance of Apple devices across our organization utilizing the JAMF Pro platform. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of all Apple hardware and software systems, while also... playing a vital role in configuring devices, deploying applications, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Key Responsibilities • Leverage your proficiency in administering and configuring JAMF Pro environments to manage macOS and iOS devices effectively. • Execute zero-touch deployment strategies for new devices through Apple's Automated MDM Enrollment (DEP) and JAMF Pro. • Develop and optimize scripts (Shell, Python, etc.) to automate tasks associated with device management, application installations, and system updates. • Administer the packaging, deployment, and updating of applications via JAMF Pro, overseeing software licensing management and compliance. • Uphold security compliance by enforcing relevant policies and configurations, including FileVault, firewall, and encryption standards. • Oversee patch management processes for operating systems and applications to ensure devices are current and secure. • Provide exceptional technical support that enhances user satisfaction, particularly for macOS and iOS related issues concerning system performance and connectivity. • Conduct regular monitoring of device health, usage, and compliance, supplying management with detailed insights and reports. • Troubleshoot network-related issues and manage VPN configurations effectively. • Utilize your problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail to work both independently and collaboratively, achieving high-quality results for customers and the team. Required Skills • Extensive experience with JAMF Pro management and configuration. • Demonstrated history of implementing zero-touch deployment processes. • Proficient in scripting for automation purposes. • Strong capabilities in application management, including software licensing and compliance oversight. • Familiarity with enforcing security compliance. • Mastery in managing patch processes effectively. • Excellent communication and service skills directed toward user support. • A solid understanding of network troubleshooting and VPN configuration. • JAMF 300 certification is mandatory. Qualifications • Proven experience in developing and maintaining documentation for device management protocols. • Experience conducting training sessions for IT personnel and end-users on best practices for Apple device utilization. • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. • Enterprise-level experience with JAMF Pro and managing Apple devices. • Familiar with security standards and protocols, including encryption and MDM security frameworks.
