BroadPath, where connection happens. BroadPath is seeking an Unlicensed Pharmacy Technician to join BroadPath's dynamic, connected culture! Our motivated, Unlicensed Pharmacy Technician will assist our members with calls regarding non-formulary, prior authorizations, and up-tier medication requests. Responsibilities Process prior authorizations for prescriptions received from providers Handle inbound member calls related to non-formulary, prior authorizations, and up tier medication requests Research compound prescriptions to ensure accurate processing Conduct possible outbound calls to providers for additional information Provide prior authorization recommendations to reviewing Pharmacists based on established guidelines Set up and process all specialty medication reviews, regardless of the benefit utilized Maintain a working knowledge of pharmacy and medical claims processing systems Become a subject matter expert in prior authorization, non-formulary, and up tier medication requests, with a focus on Specialty Prior Authorization, pre-certification, and some retrospective reviews Utilize computer systems to input prescription and patient information accurately. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to pharmacy operations Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills Qualification High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor Computer literate (Microsoft Windows, keyboarding skills, strong systems aptitude) Candidate will be responsible for providing: Responsible for providing your own 19" monitor or larger with VGA or HDMI port with corresponding cable, USB wired mouse, ethernet cable, and optional USB wired keyboard Reliable hardwired internet is a must with at least 25mbps download|10mbps upload speeds Speed Test Disclaimer: Please note that all Internet Speed Tests are monitored and will be verified.
