Position Overview We are in search of a Sales Director for Conventional Retailers who will work closely with the Senior Vice President of Sales to spearhead the growth and development of national accounts within the grocery retail sector. The successful candidate will possess a strong track record of driving CPG brand growth in brick-and-mortar national retail environments. This remote role provides a rewarding opportunity for those eager to establish impactful brands and influence organizational success. Key Responsibilities • Oversee all facets of key national accounts, encompassing annual growth and assortment planning, promotional strategies, merchandising, and shopper marketing initiatives. • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key account stakeholders, including buyers, planners, and analysts. • Attain distribution, shelf management, pricing, and promotional targets for strategic clients. • Collaborate with brokers, distributors, and internal teams to achieve sales and distribution objectives. • Partner with broker representatives to enhance growth and brand visibility. • Execute vendor and item setup forms, online applications, and promotional programs within retailer systems. • Implement retailer promotional strategies to drive incremental sales through judicious trade investments. • Manage financial documentation, including sales forecasts, promotional calendars, expenses, deals, and profitability. • Design and deliver compelling sales presentations. • Conduct on-demand sales and inventory analyses. • Identify and seek new business development avenues. • Assist the Sales Forecast and Demand Planning Team in precise inventory forecasting. • Support ad hoc projects across various Supply Chain functions (Accounting, Inventory Management, Order Flow, Customer Support). • Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Skills • At least 10 years of experience in CPG sales, with a minimum of 5 years focused on major grocery accounts (e.g., Kroger, Publix, Albertsons); experience in the drug channel is advantageous. • Strong business acumen with proficient Excel capabilities, including data analysis and model building. • Exceptional attention to detail, managing multiple time-sensitive projects effectively. • Experience in category leadership, serving as a strategic partner with national grocers to drive business growth. • Proven project management expertise, overseeing initiatives from inception to completion across various internal functions and with customers. • Resourceful and adaptable, with a proven ability to meet goals in a dynamic, high-energy environment. • Intellectual curiosity, with a desire to enhance systems and processes while generating innovative revenue-driving ideas. • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with team members and representing the brand positively. • A creative, entrepreneurial mindset, eager to grow along with the company while managing responsibilities competently. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related discipline.
