Job Title: Remote Middle School Math Teacher Location: Remote (Illinois-based) Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our remote teaching team. As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will play a critical role in shaping the mathematical understanding of our students and creating a supportive and engaging virtual learning environment. You will be responsible for developing and delivering effective lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to meet the diverse needs of our student population. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement effective math lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of middle school students. • Create a positive and inclusive virtual learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. • Use a variety of instructional strategies and digital resources to engage students in learning and promote critical thinking skills. • Assess student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents. • Collaborate with colleagues, including special education teachers and support staff, to meet the individualized needs of students with diverse learning abilities. • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and discuss any concerns or challenges. • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and remote teaching strategies. Requirements: • Bachelors degree in Education or a Math-related field (Masters degree preferred). • Valid teaching certification/license in Illinois. • Previous experience teaching middle school students preferred. • Strong knowledge of middle school math curriculum standards and instructional best practices. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. • Proficiency with virtual teaching tools and technology. • Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
