Senior Accountant - Long Term Consultant
Position Overview: Our client, a prominent company in downtown Seattle, WA with a strong international presence, is seeking a Senior Accountant for a consulting engagement. This role will focus on reporting, month-end close processes, and fixed assets management. The position offers a chance to contribute significantly to financial operations with the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role. Key Responsibilities: Financial Process Oversight: Manage end-to-end financial processes, including recording journal entries and performing reconciliations. Conduct and review balance sheet account reconciliations, addressing and resolving discrepancies. Fixed Asset Accounting and Reporting: Apply knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting and Statement of Cash Flow Reporting. Develop and maintain Excel schedules and financial workpapers. Analytical and Reporting Duties: Provide analytical reviews and fluctuation analysis to support periodic financial activities. Identify internal control gaps and implement necessary controls to ensure accurate financial reporting. Contract Review and Documentation: Review new business contracts, evaluating their operational and accounting implications. Research and document support for accounting conclusions. Audit Support: Provide direct support to external auditors during walkthroughs, control tests, and substantive testing. Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and fixed assets. Technical Skills: Proficient in developing Excel schedules and financial workpapers. Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting and Statement of Cash Flow Reporting. Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field is required. Apply Job!
