HENO is seeking a REMOTE, meticulous and dynamic Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in medical billing procedures, coding, and reimbursement protocols, with a focus on ensuring precise claim submissions, resolving billing discrepancies, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize revenue cycle management. Description HENO is currently looking for a dynamic and meticulous Medical Billing Specialist to become a valuable member of our expanding team. The perfect candidate should possess a solid understanding of medical billing procedures, coding, and reimbursement protocols. The primary responsibilities of the Medical Billing Specialist will include ensuring the precise and timely submission of medical claims, resolving any billing discrepancies, and working closely with healthcare providers to enhance revenue cycle management. Excellent communication skills and a penchant for thriving in a fast-paced setting are essential qualities for the ideal candidate. Key Responsibilities: • Review and analyze medical documentation to accurately assign appropriate codes for billing purposes. • Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies. • Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals to ensure timely reimbursement. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate coding. • Stay updated on industry changes, coding guidelines, and billing regulations. • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations in some cases. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing. • Proficient in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding. • Knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and reimbursement processes. • Strong understanding of medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Certification in Medical Billing and Coding is a plus. Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Certification in Medical Billing and Coding preferred.
