Global Procurement and Third-Party Management Shared Services (GPTPMS) is Cigna's official strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management organization. Whether an employee or function is looking to purchase new goods or services, renew an existing supplier relationship, or identify suppliers for consideration of a good or service, the GPTPMS organization has the tools and processes in place to achieve those goals. Global Procurement and Third-Party Management Shared Services at Cigna operates under four key pillars: Category Management & Strategic Sourcing (CMSS): manages the end-to-end process for contracting with suppliers by identifying opportunities to source more effectively through careful monitoring of various drivers and conducting in-depth analysis, qualifying suppliers, leading negotiations, and evaluating bids in order to help the business select the best supplier. Third Party Management (Business, IT, and International): manages Cigna supplier relationships by working with internal business areas to understand strategies, clarify precise business needs and identify supplier opportunities and acting as the point person, for both Cigna and the Supplier, for ongoing management of the relationship including contract adherence, performance, risk, collaborative innovation, service and sales delivery, etc. Strategic Enablement: supports the Category Management & Strategic Sourcing and Third-Party Management teams by recognizing continuous improvement opportunities within the organization and supporting process change and the implementation of best practices and leading the analysis of the overall spend with suppliers in order to identify savings and cost containment opportunities. Systems Operations & Analytics: includes the Third-Party Command Center & insights, Procurement Operations, Business Solutions Implementation, Buying Channel Strategy, and 3rd Party Diversity & Sustainability. Description This position is located in the Business Solutions Implementation team in the Systems Operations & Analytics group. The ‘Technology’ team of Business Solutions is responsible for supporting the bigger GPTPMS organization by playing a critical role in designing, implementing and supporting the key systems and technological roadmaps. This role will focus on supporting and administrating the key systems used in the GP&TPMS department. The two main goals of this team are to maintain the day-to-day functioning of the systems, as well as develop new functionality and plans as demanded by process and project priorities. This individual will be part of the team responsible for building and executing on the GP&TPMS strategic initiatives and will be responsible for coordinating with business/customers, application development, and operations teams to create a unified GP&TPMS program. This person will also work with appropriate personnel within GP&TPMS to execute key communications, training and other critical knowledge transfer that has broad impact. They will work in close partnership with our IT partners, GP&TPMS leaders, and business matrix stakeholders to ensure that we understand both opportunities to continuously improve our technology and deliver strong information sharing. Duties and responsibilities Continuously learn and update knowledge on Ariba Source to Contract functionality and administration Continuously learn and update knowledge on the Icertis Contract Intelligence and Contract Lifecycle Management functionality and administration Continuously learn and update knowledge on the ProcessUnity risk and third-party management functionality and administration Monitor, investigate, and collaborate as required to investigate and address reported issues with the technological systems Provide quality and timely customer support for the users of the primary tools Identify, evaluate, and capitalize on opportunities to reduce costs and increase process speeds for sourcing and third-party management by serving as functional subject matter experts in process improvement or enhancement projects or opportunities Work closely with the GP&TPMS leadership to understand and deliver on prioritized activities and goals Collaborate with other department teams such as change management and insights and analytics to ensure effective training, process documentation, tool adoption, usage, and data/reporting strategies Identify opportunities to increase the leverage of the technological capabilities and processes. Participate in the review and approval of all critical development, testing, and rollout of key technological initiatives. Present and speak to large groups or in training environments about technological functionality Qualifications A proven ability to learn and adapt to new technology and technological solutions Ability to learn how systems work, critically evaluate a process, and provide potential system solutions to support the process correctly Strong ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and handle new and uncertain scenarios Ability to collect and analyze detail to make data driven decisions Experience with technology implementations and operations are a plus Experience providing technological support to customers is a plus Strong written and oral skills Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required Demonstrate skill in executive presentation, negotiation, and collaboration Competency skills most important for success in this role: Active Listening, Problem Solving, Interpersonal Savvy, and Perspective.
