Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough investigations, evaluations, and resolutions of 1st party property claims, ensuring precise assessment of damages or losses. Analyze and interpret policy coverage to ascertain the company's liability extent. Collaborate with field adjusters, contractors, appraisers, and other professionals to guarantee the accuracy of repair or replacement costs. Engage with policyholders to facilitate a seamless claims process, providing clear explanations of coverage, next steps, and settlement offers. Negotiate claim settlements within established limits, balancing policyholder satisfaction with company objectives. Compile comprehensive reports and documentation for claims, adhering to internal and regulatory compliance standards. Stay informed on company policies, state regulations, and industry best practices relevant to property claims. Partner with team members across departments to resolve intricate claims issues. Establish reserves, monitor developments, and adjust as necessary based on claim circumstances. Manage in-house claims and oversee those related to homeowners and commercial property claims handled by a Third-Party Administrator (TPA). Required Skills Minimum of 3 years' experience as a homeowner or commercial property claims adjuster/examiner or in a similar capacity. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in the insurance domain. Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficient in Xactimate and MS Office/Google Workspace applications. Comprehensive understanding of property and casualty insurance, including claims processes and policy interpretation. Relevant insurance certifications such as AIC or CPCU are preferred.
